Studsvik Nuclear AB is a world-leading provider of advanced services within nuclear fuel and materials technology. We support utilities, fuel vendors, reactor developers, research institutes and regulators worldwide through fuel and materials testing, post-irradiation examinations, hot cell investigations, fuel performance analysis and advanced research supporting both existing reactors and next-generation nuclear technologies such as SMRs.

About the role

As Area Sales Manager, you will develop new and existing business for Studsvik’s highly specialized services and build long-term customer relationships across the international nuclear industry.

A key part of the role is to identify and create new business opportunities and develop them into long-term business. You will drive complex, high-value sales with long lead times and multiple stakeholders – from initial customer dialogue and opportunity development through proposal, negotiation and contract.

You will work closely with Studsvik’s technical experts and cross-functional teams to understand customer challenges and develop the right solutions. Your geographical focus area will be defined based on your experience, network and expertise.

Key responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new international business opportunities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships

  • Drive the full sales process – from lead generation to negotiation and contract

  • Understand customer needs and develop commercial opportunities together with technical experts

  • Lead and coordinate internal teams in complex proposal processes

  • Manage and further develop existing customer accounts

  • Contribute to Studsvik’s strategic sales development

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven sales professional with a strong track record in complex technical B2B sales and business development.

Experience from the nuclear industry is highly valued. However, we also welcome candidates from other technically advanced industries with experience in complex solutions, long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.

What matters most is your ability to create and develop new business, understand complex customer needs and successfully drive demanding sales processes from initial contact to contract.

You have strong technical understanding and curiosity and are comfortable working with highly knowledgeable customers and internal specialists. You have the ability to understand the customer’s challenge, ask the right questions and bring the right expertise into the dialogue.

You are self-driven, persistent and commercially minded. You enjoy creating opportunities, taking ownership of your business and developing long-term customer relationships.

We believe you have
  • Proven success in technical B2B sales and/or business development

  • A strong track record of developing and winning new business

  • Experience of complex, high-value sales with long sales cycles

  • Experience of international sales and multiple technical and commercial stakeholders

  • A relevant academic degree, preferably in engineering, science or another technical field

  • Strong commercial drive combined with technical understanding and curiosity

  • A structured, proactive and independent way of working

  • Excellent communication skills in English

  • Experience from the nuclear industry is highly valuable

Location & travel

The role is flexible in terms of location within Europe. Regular presence at Studsvik’s site in Sweden, approximately one week per month, is expected. The position also involves international travel.
